This is the Kershaw official display case used to demonstrate the SpeedSafe mechanism. The display includes a Kershaw Ken Onion Leek, Model 1660NEB (No Edge Blade), has a 440A stainless steel 3 inch blade with a 410 stainless steel handle. The Speed-Safe torsion bar assisted opening allows this knife to be opened with one push. When closed this 3.1 oz Kershaw knife is 4 inches long.

Here is the personal information I have for the 1660NEB. I had a conversation with the customer relation agent at Kershaw back around 2011, it seems that the 1660NEB knife could possibly be the blade / knives used in their Kershaw plastic displays which has a Leek knife secured at the end of a steel cable. The etching on those knives is simply 1660 (and not 1660NEB) but the edge of the blade was not ground. She could not find any records in their system or inventory as to what this part number was except for the fact that the NEB acronym stands for “No Edge Blade”. According to her, she could not officially confirm the display theory as a fact but said that it was a very good possibility that was backed up by what the shop floor rumors where.
